Corporate Social Responsibility

About - Corporate Social Responsibility

Both as a practice and through staff engagement we encourage participation in a wide range of environmental and community matters. Colleagues at every level are encouraged to support local organisations and schools, with many sitting on local boards and governing bodies including:

Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA)
Holder Mathias LLP is a RIBA chartered practice.

Royal Society of Architects in Wales
Holder Mathias actively supports RSAW activities through Design Circle committee members, sharing their mandate to promote the benefits of architecture and good design.

Prince’s Mayday Network on Climate Change
As a key member of the UK’s biggest business-led movement committed to tackling climate change, we facilitate and often lead networking events.

Commitment to the development of young professionals
Our staff support mentoring schemes promoted by the RIBA and schools of architecture. We employ RIBA Part 1 and Part 2 students, actively supporting them in their studies and exams providing each with an in-office mentor to ensure they get a varied and thorough experience.
Each year, we offer work experience to up to 20 secondary school pupils at our London and Cardiff studios, giving those young people a real taste of life in a busy architectural practice. During their time with us students have an opportunity to learn about CAD, architectural modeling and project management, and they leave with a portfolio of CAD and modeling work to present at school or for GCSE/A Level course work.

Charitable Work
Holder Mathias also gives pro bono professional support to selected charities
