Luxury accommodation beneath the trees
19 May 2013
Forest Holidays´ latest site, Black Wood Forest, Hampshire opened to the public on 17 May. The 60 brand new, exclusively designed, luxury woodland cabins, hidden deep in a 270 hectare beech forest have been developed to create a holiday experience where guests can stay in high-quality environmentally friendly wooden cabins that integrate into and harmonise with the woodland landscape. They’re heated using wood pellets generators, which efficiently and ‘carbon neutrally’ convert biomass in the form of wood pellets into heat while giving off almost no wood smoke. The carbon dioxide released by burning is balanced by that absorbed by the tree during its growth. The ash from the Wood Pellet Fuel which is rich in minerals is then recycled to fertilise the forest.
Exciting development continues on both existing and new sites.
