Planning Permission Granted for The Interchange
7 Nov 2018
The Planning Committee approved the plans for the go ahead 7 to 1 in favour of the scheme. The Interchange will provide a 14-stand bus station – to sit below a 249-space car park and 305 rental flats – as well as a separate six-storey office block in the centre of Cardiff. Councillor Frank Jacobsen said the current design is a “large improvement” on the original plans. Planning officer Lawrence Dowdall said the tower would be among the best tall buildings in Cardiff, “I think it will be an enhancement on the city’s skyscape.”
