Birch Selsdon

For the second location of the brand new hospitality start-up Birch, Holder Mathias was approached to provide strategic advice to the building’s space plan for this 180 key hotel refurbishment and wider site masterplan with as starting point Birch’s approach to bringing previously unloved built assets back into use through a process of minimal but creative intervention.

As part of our role, we worked alongside Interior Designers Sella Concept and ANRD, and Seb Cox for the landscape approach which included the rewilding of the former golf course, to provide space planning, regulatory compliance advice, monitoring and coordination during the concept stages, through planning, building control and eventually to its delivery.
